Fuseboard/Consumer Units upgrades
We get many calls from customers who experience faults with their electrical system. Sometimes nuisance tripping, other times blown fuse wire. When things go wrong it is always very inconvenient and generally, we want our electricity back working straight away when things go wrong. If you think your fuse box is out of date then our advise is to get this upgraded before problems arise. With wiring regulations always changing over the years, the standards for consumer units now are different to what they were 30, 10, even 5 years ago. New consumer units are designed to keep your home safe and avoid problems occurring.
Surge protection devices
Surge protection devices are designed to protect electrical devices from voltage spikes that can occur due to various reasons, including lightning strikes and power outages. SPDs act as a buffer, diverting excess voltage away from connected devices. The latest regulations state that SPDs should be fitted in all newly installed consumer units. This is due to the increase in voltage spikes and the increase in devices we have in our homes.
